A very good article. My children (two of three daughters) fit the description of NLD in your article even though the NLD manifests itself differently in both.
I sometimes despair because I am the parent most involved in raising the children and because I am not so wealthy, I don't have the luxury of being able to hire help with the household. I'm juggling everything, the household, raising them and trying to do a part-time study. I want so much to help them so that they have the best chances. The rpoblem is that NLD is not recognised as an official diagnosis where I live, so the aspergers diagnosis is the only one they could try to apply- but I don't think that it'd happen, because both are too social.
Thank you for writing the article. I would appreciate any other tips to help my children. I know they're both intelligent so I try to keep their confidence up. Sometimes it feels like a losing battle though. It's hard to get them motivated.
