With a song in her heart—It looks like Jessica Biel intends to join the ranks of actors-turned-singers. Who knows if it’s the influence of her boy-toy, Justin Timberlake, but Biel is reportedly getting more into music lately, and has recorded vocals for the soundtrack of her new film, Easy Virtue. It’s just a matter of time before the lovebirds record a duet together. Crashing the party—Reality “star” Kim Kardashian was celebrating her 28th birthday this weekend in Las Vegas with some friends, when an unexpected guest crashed the festivities—as they were heading down to the nightclub LAX, Kardashian’s NFL boyfriend, Reggie Bush, arrived to surprise her. The New Orleans Saints player is still recovering from knee surgery, but his coach gave him the OK to fly to Vegas to surprise his girl. Here comes the bed…all dressed in white—The world’s fattest man is officially off the market. Manuel Uribe, who weighed in at 1,230 pounds in 2006, married his long-time girlfriend, Claudia Solis, this past weekend in Mexico. Uribe has not been able to leave his bed for the past six years, so a flatbed truck brought him to the nuptials on a bed decorated with a white canopy. When it came time for their first dance, the newlyweds held hands and swayed to a slow song. A very slow song. What’s the number for 911?—Apparently John McCain’s brother thinks he’s above the law. Joe McCain was extremely upset by the traffic backup he was stuck in and decided to call for help. Perez Hilton reports that he called up 911 and said, “Well, it’s not an emergency but do you know why on one side at the damn drawbridge of 95, traffic is stopped for 15 minutes and yet traffic’s coming the other way?” The operator responded, “Sir, are you calling 911 to complain about traffic?” Well thank goodness this is the only recent embarrassment for the McCain campaign. The bigger the better—Disney is raking in the dough with hip kids Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron! High School Musical 3 opened this weekend in theatres, the first of the High School Musical movies to open on the big screen. It was the biggest musical debut ever both in the United States and internationally, making over $82 million for the weekend worldwide, and the highest-grossing global No. 1 opening since The Dark Knight. Go Wildcats! The lesser of two evils?—Amy Winehouse was finally scheduled to appear at a West London police station to answer questions about when she attacked a woman at a London charity event in September. Surprise, surprise, Winehouse was a no-show! Authorities are attempting to be understanding and have agreed to reschedule, but if she doesn’t show up again she will be arrested. Instead, the sickly and emaciated Winehouse has decided to head off to rehab on Saturday night. Things must be getting pretty desperate if she’s willing to go to rehab…either that or she thought they were taking her out to party!
