The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

If 40 is the new 30 in Hollywood, then 80 is likely the new 1 year old, at least according to The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. More than unusual and bordering on just plain silly, even though originally penned by F. Scott Fitzgerald, who must be fidgeting in his coffin, the film is concocted by Forrest Gump screenwriter Eric Roth and directed by David Fincher (Zodiac, Fight Club), which should give you an idea of the clashing sentiments that rule here.



Yes Man | The Day The Earth Stood Still | Doubt

Is Yes Man a riot and does Jim Carrey get to live up to his own reputation in this mind-control motor-mouth outing? The answer is yes and no. Finding himself deep into midlife-crisis territory with pressing identity reinvention issues, Carrey makes a less-than-winning bid to pull off sweet, sexy, serious and outrageous all at the same time.
