This is just an attempt to keep Cablevisons hold on the TV market and keep Verizon off of Long Island. Access to Newsday.com is free if you switch to or stay with cablevision. Sneaky/smart business move. But that means your local news online and on TV would be coming from the same company—one that clearly lets their own interest dictate stories.

That takes gall. Good luck I tell them. They’ll be better off providing free content and making money from advertisers than they would charging people. Who is going to pay for a leftwing rag like that when there are plenty of news sites online we can go to for free?
