Home invasion burglars broke into a Uniondale man’s house and assaulted him on Friday night, Nassau police said.
The 26-year-old victim was inside his Coleridge Road home when two masked men armed with handguns and wearing hoodies over their faces kicked in the rear kitchen door at 11:55 p.m., according to 1st Squad detectives. The robbers pistol-whipped the victim, forced him to the floor, then took his wallet, cash and cellphone. They also stole a small radio from inside a plastic garbage bag that was on the floor in the room.
The victim saw that his cousin had pulled up in front of the house and ran outside to him, police said. After the perpetrators ran southbound on Lee Street they got in a dark-colored SUV, last seen driven southbound on Smith Street. Another cousin of the victim’s was also inside the home at the time, but remained upstairs, wearing headphones and unaware of the intrusion, police said. He was not injured.

The victim was taken to Nassau University Medical Center where he was treated for lacerations to his head and then released. The suspects are described as black men, one noticeably taller than the other. Anyone with additional information about this robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
