A 26-year-old man was arrested for drunken driving after he crashed his car into three pedestrians in his hometown of Hampton Bays during the early morning hours on Sunday, Southampton Town Police said.
Christopher Scotto, age 26, of Hampton Bays was driving his car eastbound on Dune Road between the Tiana Beach Pavilion and Road L when he struck three people who were in the roadway who were also walking eastbound at 2:18 a.m., police said. 
Kristen Lohneiss, 21, of Aquebogue, and Riverhead residents Kathryn Gadzinski, 21, and Daniel Gilliam, 22 were all taken to area hospitals with serious injuries. Lohneiss was transferred to Stony Brook University Medical Center. No details about the nature of their injuries were made available.
Scotto was held on $50,000 bail at his arraignment on Sunday. The investigation is continuing, including the possibility of additional charges being filed. Anyone with information regarding this incident are encouraged to contact Southampton Town Police Detectives at 631-702-2230.
