A man was shot by his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend in South Floral Park on Monday night, Nassau police said.

The victim was having an argument with his girlfriend on Marguerite Avenue when he walked away toward Tennessee Street to talk to his girlfriend’s ex-boyfriend, who was in a silver van, while his girlfriend followed him at 10:30 p.m., police said. The ex-boyfriend got out of the van and fired three shots into the victim’s right leg, police said.

The victim fell to the ground, screaming, while his girlfriend got into the van with her ex-boyfriend and the two fled the scene, police said. The victim was taken to Winthrop University Hospital for treatment.
