A dead man was found on the west end of Long Beach on Sunday morning, Nassau police said.
Fourth Precinct officers were called to Lawrence Beach Club on Beech Street in Atlantic Beach where two joggers had discovered the body lying on the sand at 7:05 a.m., according to Homicide Squad detectives.
The remains were taken to the Nassau County Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy to determine the victim’s identity and cause of death while the investigation is continuing.
