Four armed home invasion burglars stole from a family in Baldwin on Friday, Nassau police said.
The four suspects, all armed with handguns, broke into the Everett Court home through a rear unlocked door, approached a 46-year-old woman in her kitchen and demanded money at 12:45 p.m., according to Robbery Squad detectives. The foursome then confronted the other members of the house in the living room, which included three children ages 6-12, and one adult.
Additionally, there were two private contractors doing construction work in the home at the time of the home invasion. The four suspects bound two of the victims’ hands with plastic ties and then took an undetermined amount of cash and jewelry and fled in a waiting black Jeep driven by an unknown man.
The vehicle was last seen southbound on Eva Court. None of the victims were injured.
The four suspects are described as Hispanic men between 20-30 years of age, 5’6”–5”8” tall, wearing hooded sweatshirts. Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
