Teen Stabbed During Elmont Robbery

A teenager was stabbed during a robbery in Elmont on Wednesday evening, Nassau police said.

The 17-year-old boy was in Averill Park located on Averill Boulevard when two men armed with a switchblade knife stabbed the victim and stole his iPod at 5 p.m., according to 5th Squad detectives. The victim was taken via helicopter to a local hospital where he was admitted in serious but stable condition for treatment of who sustained severe lacerations to his neck and hand.   knife20attack-300x212

The suspects are described as Hispanic men between 18-22 years old who fled in an unknown direction. Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.
