A teenager was stabbed during a robbery in Elmont on Wednesday evening, Nassau police said.
The 17-year-old boy was in Averill Park located on Averill Boulevard when two men armed with a switchblade knife stabbed the victim and stole his iPod at 5 p.m., according to 5th Squad detectives. The victim was taken via helicopter to a local hospital where he was admitted in serious but stable condition for treatment of who sustained severe lacerations to his neck and hand. 
The suspects are described as Hispanic men between 18-22 years old who fled in an unknown direction. Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
