Very imformative article and obviously the writer has a great sense of humor along with her geniune concern for these creatures from the past . Would love to see more !

I will never look at horseshoe crabs the same way again! Awareness is a powerful tool. Informative, entertaining and interesting, the author captured it all.
Projects like this bring generations together and make learning fun. As a teacher, I applaud all the efforts that went into this article, and we can all enjoy the results it will lead to.

It is very doubtful that the horseshoe crab would have referred to the novel, Moby Dick, since within the novel, though about the sea, has not a single reference to anything to do with horseshoe crabs. By not having a reference to horseshoe crabs, this novel, though not on the bottom of the reading list of horseshoe crabs, since it is about the sea, is far from the top, so therefore it is unlikely that the horseshoe crab would make a reference to Moby Dick.

Interesting story. I had heard that horseshoe crabs were becoming extinct and I had some misconceptions about them. But your story put everything in the proper light. It is amazing that they been around since the prehistoric times and managed to survive this long without a killer instinct. It was also interesting to know that their blood has a beneficial quality that has helped us. Definitely a worthy story and beautifully presented.
