Four armed home invasion burglars forced their way into a Hicksville home and assaulted a man inside on Tuesday night, Nassau police said.
The masked assailants broke into the East Marie Street home through the back door and demanded money from a man inside at 8 p.m., according to 2nd Squad detectives. A struggle ensued and the victim was struck with a handgun, causing a laceration to his head. Another one of the five other people in the home at the time—none of whom were injured—escaped and called 911.
The four men ransacked a bedroom before they fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
