Police: Terror mastermind Noordin Top dead

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) — Indonesia’s national police chief says fugitive terrorism mastermind Noordin Mohammed Top has been killed in an overnight raid.

Bambang Hendarso Danuri said Thursday a body found after a raid in central Indonesia matched the fingerprints of the country’s most wanted man.

“It is Noordin M. Top,” he told a nationally televised news conference. “He is leader of al-Qaida in Southeast Asia.”
