Suffolk police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who displayed a knife while stealing from Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove.

Two suspects stole handbags at Macy’s and when confronted by a security guard, one suspect did pull out a knife and threaten to stab complainant on Sept. 6, according to 4th Squad detectives. The suspects fled on foot with the handbags but were caught on video surveillance.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.  All calls will be kept confidential and the caller will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
