Two brothers were arrested for trying to rob a food delivery driver in their hometown of Freeport on Tuesday night, Nassau police said.
Omar Holley, 22, and Donnell Holley, 19, ordered food from a local Chinese Restaurant using a cell phone but the driver, who had been robbed previously on Aug. 29, recognized the phone number from that incident, according to Robbery Squad detectives. Freeport Village Police spotted the pair emerge from behind shrubbery of a Miller Place home and arrested them “prior to the robbery being completed,” police said.
Each was charged with attempted robbery and conspiracy.
