Cops: 2 Men Had 12 Lbs. of Pot in Car

Two Baldwin men were busted with a dozen pounds of marijuana in Roosevelt on Thursday night, Nassau police said.

Frantz Bataille, 28, and Bruce Bataille, 30, were pulled over by First Precinct officers on West Centennial Avenue. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officers detected a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the car and recovered four ounces of marijuana on the rear passenger floor at 11:07 p.m., according to 1st Squad detectives.

Officers searched the vehicle and found a large laundry bag containing 12 pounds of marijuana in the trunk, police said.

Both men were charged with criminal possession of marijuana.  Frantz was  additionally charged with operating a motor vehicle with suspended registration, driving a motor vehicle on/across a sidewalk, uninsured motor vehicle and not wearing a seatbelt.
