Southold Town Police have arrested the 29-year-old man involved in the shooting at Mattituck High School last week.

Kevin M. Ehlinger, who lives near the school on Village Lane, was charged with prohibitions on the use and possession of a firearm under New York State Environmental Conservation law, police said. He pleaded not guilty at Southold Town Justice Court on Friday afternoon.

His bail was set at $100,000 cash, $300,000 bond and he was remanded to Suffolk County Jail. He is due back in court on Thursday.
An 18-year-old student suffered minimal injuries after she was grazed by a .22 caliber bullet that came through the window while sitting in class just before 2 p.m. on Oct. 8.
