A Brooklyn man was arrested Saturday for a violent home invasion burglary that occurred in Island Park two months ago, Nassau police said.
Jacob Bondorowsky, 26, forced his way into the Nassau Lane home of a 27-year-old man, with whom he had a prior dispute, after announcing himself as a deliveryman on Aug. 28., according to 4th Squad detectives. After pushing his way into the house, Bondorowsky struck the victim in the head with a hammer before he fled the scene, police said.
The victim was treated at South Nassau Hospital and was subsequently released. Bondorowsky was apprehended in Rockville Centre and was charged with burglary, assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.
