Suffolk police are asking the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed a Waldbaum’s in Centereach last month.
The robber entered the supermarket on Route 25A at closing time and threatened the manager with what appeared to be a semi-automatic handgun on Sunday, Sept.6, according to 6th Squad detectives. The manager was led to his office and $5,500 was taken from the store’s safe, police said.
The suspect, who was caught on camera, is described as a white man in his mid 40s, 5’7” to 5’9” tall with a medium build and moustache. He was wearing a blue and white baseball cap, a blue denim shirt, black pants and a blue latex glove on his left hand.
