Armed Burglars Strike in Port Jeff

Armed burglars broke into a Port Jefferson Station home early Wednesday morning, Suffolk police said. handgun2-300x22511
 
Three masked men armed with handguns entered a garage apartment on Beach Avenue where they demanded cash from the tenant, his girlfriend and a friend at 1:55 a.m., according to 6th Squad detectives.

The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The three victims were not injured. Investigators said the burglary appears to be targeted and not random.
