It is Imperative that New York recognizes that it is being stagnant in its long awaited acceptance of Gays and Gay equality. We are supposed to be a PROGRESSIVE city...but we are being left behind by States such as Maine. As a Gay man in a Monogomous 14 year relationship I can only pray that I will not have to go to one of the six states that have equality for my partner and I to have what we should get from our own city. There are those that cannot travel out of State to see our union legally sanctioned. The time is NOW to ensure that we as New Yorkers and tax payers enjoy some real representation. I sincerely hope all involved, citizens and politicains, finally take a stand for true equality. I agree.
