Cops: 2 Drunk Drivers Crashed Into Each Other

A drunken driving Stony Brook woman who had her 6-year-old daughter in the car was involved in a crash with a Lake Grove woman who was also driving drunk in Centereach on Friday night, Suffolk police said. dwi-2-289x3001

Veronica Paduano, 44, was driving westbound on Route 25 near Pleasant Avenue when she turned left into the Pathmark Shopping Center and was hit by an eastbound car driven by Francis Ging Jr., 43, at about 9 p.m., police said.

Paduano, her daughter, another passenger and Ging were taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries. 

Paduano and Ging were each charged with driving while intoxicated. Paduano was additionally charged with endangering the welfare of a child. 

Both will be arraigned at a later date.
