A Maryland man was arrested Saturday for allegedly shooting a man and a woman in Lawrence more than two years ago, Nassau police said.
Brian J Dandy, 35, of Elkton, was charged with second-degree attempted murder, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon and two counts of reckless endangerment. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Sunday. 
According to 4th Squad detectives, Dandy ran up to the window and shot a man in the torso while the victim was driving a Dodge sedan in a parking lot on Buena Vista Avenue near Rockaway Turnpike shortly after noon on July 6, 2007.
A woman in the front passenger seat was also shot. Two children in the back seat, both under the age of 5, were not injured. Both injured adults were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
