Cops: NYC Man Smoked Weed While Driving


A Queens man was arrested Friday for smoking marijuana while driving on a parkway in Albertson, New York State Police said.

A Trooper pulled over a gray Honda for driving without a license plate lamp after he witnessed the driver smoking a marijuana cigarette while driving eastbound on the Northern State Parkway near Roslyn Road, police said.

Ryan Dilchahnd, 25, of Jamaica Estates, was charged with driving while intoxicated on drugs after the Trooper detected the odor of marijuana and found a burned marijuana cigarette in the car.

Dilchahnd was also charged with criminal possession of marijuana and a traffic violation.  He will be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Nov. 16.

    at least he wasn’t driving wreckless. he was pulled over for his plate lamp. Worry about the drunk drivers.
