Animals Stolen From West Islip Pet Shop

bjTwo men broke into a pet shop in West Islip early Friday morning and stole a puppy and a python, Suffolk police said.

Surveillance video at BTJ’s Jungle Pet Shop on Sunrise Highway recorded footage of the men breaking through a rear door of the building at 3:35 a.m. The two suspects stole a 10-week-old yellow Labrador puppy, and a two-foot-long, yellow and white colored albino ball python.

Third Squad detectives are asking anyone with information to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
