Four Suffolk Men Arrested for Selling Heroin

More than 500 bags of Heroin recovered


Four men were arrested Thursday on drug charges in Nesconset after Suffolk police found them in possession of more than 500 bags of heroin.

Police observed Daniel Moretti, 21, Joseph Mattia, 21, and Adam Yorysh, 23, making a drug deal at Southern Boulevard and Smithtown Boulevardat 3:40 p.m. The men had 100 bags of heroin on them, police said.

A search of Moretti’s Hauppauge home on Friday recovered more than 400 bags of heroin. Methylene dioxy methamphetamine, illegal prescription drugs and marijuana were also recovered, police said. Kevin Moretti, 19, a resident of the home, was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Daniel Moretti was charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance.  Joseph Mattia of Nesconset and Adam Yorysh of Islandia were each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance. Mattia was also charged with criminal possession of a hypodermic instrument.
