Rapper Fetty Luciano Indicted for Glen Cove Mansion Pool Party Shooting
Brooklyn-based rapper Fetty Luciano was indicted Friday on charges related to a shooting that injured three people at a July 2022 pool party at The Mansion at Glen Cove, Nassau County prosecutors said.
Remy Marshall, professionally known as Fetty Luciano, 27, of Queens, is facing charges of weapon possession, assault, and others in connection with the shooting that occurred during a private party.
“This defendant allegedly brought a loaded gun into a crowded private event and, during an altercation, discharged the weapon and struck three victims,” said Nassau District Attorney Anne Donnelly. “Thankfully, the defendant’s alleged reckless actions did not cause life-threatening injuries to the victims and no one else was hurt. I thank the Glen Cove Police Department for their work apprehending this defendant leading to today’s indictment.”
The July 10, 2022 incident had led to the Glen Cove Mansion’s liquor license being temporarily suspended because the New York State Liquor Authority found the venue had an authorized vendor hosting the event. The venue paid a $50,000 fine and had its license reinstated about two weeks later.
According to the district attorney’s office, Marshall allegedly got into a verbal argument with another attendee at the party at about 5:30 p.m. He then allegedly left the lobby and returned to approach the other guest, tried to “pistol whip” him with a firearm, which discharged and struck three victims with a single bullet.
One victim suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder, and the others were struck in the leg and elbow. Each was treated at a hospital and released.
Marshall is charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, three counts of second-degree assault, second-degree attempted assault, three counts of third-degree assault, and second-degree reckless endangerment.
Marshall was arrested by the Glen Cove Police Department on July 21, 2022. He has pleaded not guilty, and his bail is set at $200,000. He is due back in court on March 31 and faces a maximum of 15 years in prison.
