Nassau County District Attorney Kathleen Rice has won another term in office today.
Rice fended off a challenge by former prosecutor Joy Watson, who was endorsed by the Nassau County Detective’s Union.

The win paves the way for an expected run for New York State Attorney General in 2010.
Rice garnered 54 percent of the vote and still had almost 200 election districts to report results.
Rice thanked Jacobs for his support and the many volunteers who hit the streets on her behalf during the campaign.
