We pray for a MAJOR change in gov’t!

  2. kyle says:

Denise H, this is obviously a typo as there is no where near that many number of registered voters in that district, think for a second and you would realize that it was meant to be 7,000 not 70,000. Come on people use your head here .

  3. Denise H says:

Hempstead 4th District Town Council – 100% reporting
    Jean Brett-Leach (D) – 74,070 votes
    Anthony Santino (R) – 18,542 votes WINNER

Here are the results. How is it possible that 18k beats 74k???

  4. mary says:

ditto i haven’t subscribed yo newsday in five years

  5. M Sutch says:

I no longer have any use for Newsday or Cablevision…especially since Newsday now charges for Newsday.com privileges. I sincerely hope the LI Press can emerge as the #1 newspaper for Long Island…we need to get out of Newsdays grip.

  6. Voterr says:

It’s funny how Newsday has already declared Souzzi the winner in the Nassau County Executive race when only 200 votes separate each of the two leading candidates. There are reportedly still thousands of uncounted absentee ballots yet to be counted so officially the contest winner is not declared.

I appreciate more than ever the LI Press and its unbiased and responsible journalistic coverage of this important race.
I wish you were published as a daily again.
