A Roosevelt teenager was arrested Friday for multiple robberies over a span of four months, Nassau police said.
Anthony Thomas, 18, was charged with four counts of robbery in connection with a spree that began
on June 16 and ended Oct. 27, according to Robbery Squad detectives.
In first incident, which occurred at the intersection of Willet Place and Mirin Avenue, Thomas grabbed a 17-year-old male and stole an iPod from his pocket, police said. A second robbery was reported nearby in which Thomas, armed with a handgun, approached an 18-year-old man and demanded the victim’s iPod and cell phone, police said.
Thomas also robbed of a 16-year-old boy’s cell phone on Lakewood Avenue, police siad. The third robbery occurred on Astor Place, as Thomas, riding a bicycle, approached an 18-year-old man, displayed a knife and demanded the victim’s iPod, police said.
In the fourth case, the victim refused and ran to a nearby house.
Thomas was also charged with stealing an iPod from an unoccupied vehicle on Leonard Lane in Merrick.
No injuries were reported in any of the cases.
Thomas was arraigned Saturday morning in First District Court in Hempstead.
