Suffolk Man Arrested for Massapequa Burglary

Nassau police arrested a Centereach man Sunday for allegedly burglarizing a Massapequa home last month. arrest1-300x225

Ralph Phillips, 28, broke in through the rear door of an unoccupied Pittsburgh Avenue home, then cut and removed copper piping throughout the home on Oct. 19, according to 7th Squad detectives. 

Damage to the house, due to resultant extensive flooding, is estimated at more than $20,000, police said.

Phillips was charged with burglary and criminal possession of a controlled substance for having heroin on him at the time of his arrest, police said.
