A new weekly feature that lists some of the Suffolk crime reports that did not make the news.

A man was assaulted when “3 to 4 carloads of youths” were fighting with fire at the 7-11 on Montauk Highway in Lindenhurst at 12 a.m.

Two men armed with handguns robbed the Wyandanch Post Office on Straight Path and stole the contents of the safe at 5 a.m.

A taxi driver was assaulted and robbed on twin Lanes Avenue in Brentwood at 5 a.m.

A driver was hit in the head with a hammer by a man who then stole his car on Heckscher Avenue in North Bay Shore at 10:15 p.m.

A man was stabbed in the shoulder by an unknown suspect on Albany Avenue in North Amityville at 12:30 p.m.

Oct. 31

A 21-year-old man was stabbed on Eastwood Avenue in Deer Park at 2:50 a.m.

A man was robbed on Suffolk Avenue in Brentwood at 3:55 a.m.

A man suffered a severe eye injury after he was assaulted by three men on Suffolk Avenue in Brentwood at 5:50 p.m.

A Swastika was painted in the middle of the street on Pine Edge Drive in East Moriches at 6 p.m.

A man was robbed on the corner of Barnard Street and Dubois Road in west Islip at 10:15 p.m.

A man was assaulted by a woman with a tire iron on Wilson Street in Copiague at 11:35 p.m.

Nov. 1

Two teenagers robbed a man of his cash at knifepoint on Jene Drive in West Islip at 1:10 a.m.

A driver was carjacked by a man with a box cutter at the corner of 14th Street and Straight Path in Wyandanch at 1:15 a.m.

Gunshots were fired at a party on Waldo Street in Copiague at 1:15 a.m.

A man was assaulted with a bottle on Amsterdam Street in Greenlawn at 2:15 a.m.

Two men wearing ski masks and armed with handguns broke into a Centerwood Street home in Wyandanch at 2 p.m.

A man was robbed of his bag and cell phone on Suffolk Avenue in Brentwood at 8 p.m.

A man was robbed on Sportsman Street in Central Islip at 9:25 p.m.

Nov. 2

A group of 15 youths assaulted a man with baseball bats at a gas station on Route 231 in North Babylon at 9:24 p.m.

Nov. 3

A Swastika was found on Storm Drive in Holtsville on Nov. 3 and is being investigated as a possible hate crime.

A man was robbed on Motor Parkway in Central Islip at 2 a.m.

A man was slashed in the face and robbed on Hospital Road in East Patchogue at 7:40 p.m.

Two men were robbed at knifepoint on the corner of Ryder Avenue and Edwards Avenue in Patchogue on Nov. 3 at 7:50 p.m.

A 15-year-old boy was robbed at knifepoint on the corner of Coates Avenue South and Ellsworth Street in Holbrook at 8:20 p.m.

Nov. 4

Five or six men armed with handguns broke into a Reinhart Court home in Melville and burglarized it at 1:15 a.m.

    the trend in these listings seems to support the need to bear arms. much of what i read would never happen if the LAW ABIDING PUBLIC were able to defend themselves and their property… just the notion that there could be such unpredictable results would keep most of the thugs down.
