Albertson Man Arrested In Roslyn Heights Murder

Gas station attendant was stabbed to death

stabbingAn Albertson man has been arrested and charged in the Halloween murder of a Roslyn Heights gas station clerk.

Nassau cops say Wilmer Linares, 23, of 933 Willis Ave. is facing a third-degree murder charge in the death of Jony Acosta, 26, also of Albertson.

On Oct. 31, cops responded to the Gulf Gas Station at 119 Powerhouse Rd. at around 10:43 p.m. and found Acosta on the floor. He had been stabbed multiple times.

Acosta was taken to North Shore University Medical Center. He succumbed to his injuries on Nov. 3.

Linares was arrested by Nassau homicide detectives on Nov. 13 and will be arraigned today in First District Court in Hempstead.
