Cops ID Teen Struck, Killed by Car in Farmingdale


Nassau police identified the boy who was struck and killed by a car in Farmingdale on Sunday night. sirens19-300x300

Eighth Squad detectives say 14-year-old Bryan Enriquez of Farmingdale was riding his BMX bicycle across Route 109 at the intersection of Staples Street when he was hit by a northbound vehicle at approximately 5:40 p.m.

Enriquez was taken to New Island Hospital in Bethpage where he was pronounced dead a half hour later. Investigators say there was no criminality on the part of the driver and no summonses issued.
