Police Seek Identity of Young Bicylist Killed

Nassau police are trying to learn the identity of a bicyclist who was struck and killed by a car. sirens2-300x300

Police say the victim was riding a blue bicycle with the word “DYNO” in neon green on it Sunday evening in Farmingdale. He was struck at the intersection of Route 109 and Staples Street and pronounced dead about a half an hour later.

The driver remained at the scene. No charges were filed.

Police asked that anyone with information about the victim call 516-573-6852 or 516-573-7717. He was described as 13 to 16 years old, 5 feet 10 inches, 175 pounds and Hispanic.
