A 20-year-old Central Islip man was in critical condition on Wednesday night after he was shot in his driveway, Suffolk police said.
Franklin Xavier Gallimore was standing in his driveway of his Ferndale Boulevard
home with a friend when he was shot in the face and left leg by an unknown assailant at 9 p.m., according to 3rd Squad detectives.
Gallimore was airlifted to the University Medical Center at Stony Brook with multiple facial fractures and a fractured left femur. He is listed in critical condition.
Investigators say that multiple shots were fired from a light-colored sedan that was stopped in front of Gallimore’s home but only two struck the victim. The suspect’s car was last seen fleeing southbound on Ferndale Boulevard.
Detectives ask anyone who may have information about this crime to call the 3rd Squad at 631-854-8352 or call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
