Dale Wright 48, pulled what appeared to be a silver handgun on a 29 year-old man in the hallway of the Courtesy Hotel on Hempstead Avenue, at 9:15 p.m., according to 5th Squad detectives.

Wright demanded the victim’s money, but a struggle ensued and the victim forced Wright to drop the gun before he fled the scene, police said. The victim told the hotel clerk to call the police before he gave chase.
