Woodbury Bank Robbed

Nassau police are investigating a bank robbery in Woodbury on Friday afternoon.

A man entered the Chase Bank on Jericho Turnpike and gave a note demanding money to the teller at 12:10 p.m., according to Robbery Squad detectives. The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of money and the robber fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-40s to 50s, 5′9″ tall and stocky with a medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball hat, checkered shirt, dark T-shirt and blue jeans.

Any members of the public who have information concerning the robbery are asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous.
