Things are back to normal at seven Garden City schools that were placed on a short “lockout” while police searched for a criminal suspect in the area.
Access to Garden City’s high school, middle school, two elementary schools and three primary schools was halted for about two hours Monday after police notified officials of the search. Police believe the suspect in an old assault case has since fled.

Garden City Schools Superintendent Robert Fiersen says a lockout allowed students and teachers to proceed with educational activities, including moving from class to class in the high school. He says a lockdown would have prevented any movement within the schools. A local nursery school also was affected.

Democrat?
Oh Please, great points. The people in charge are scared of their own shadows and instilled with fear. They are the same people who are teaching our children the same fear. These are the adults on the “legal” drugs like Zanex and Zolof. They can not control their own thoughts and actions yet are in charge of our children and making a BOAT LOAD of money from it too. Great system right? Guess which way these “teachers” and administrators are pushed to vote also.
Wow, another “lockdown”.
I didn’t realize our schools were such magnets for the hordes of dangerous criminals roaming the streets.
Why, look at how many children have been injured as the result of psychos walking in off the streets……..
Why are you idiots teaching children that this is somehow acceptable behavior?
Lockdowns, armed guards, intrusive cameras, metal detectors, sniffer dogs……..
Are these public buildings or jails?
What exactly are you teaching the children? What are these children going to put up with when they are parents? You people are all idiots if you think any of this is an acceptable response.
Whats the matter, too much mary-jane during your youth making you paranoid?
omg my cousin was there. she said it was freaky
