CARACAS, Venezuela (AP) — Internationally renowned salsa singer Oscar D’Leon is recovering from a heart attack he suffered during a visit to Venezuela.

A cardiologist at a private health clinic in the capital city of Caracas says the 67-year-old Venezuelan native sought medical attention after suffering the attack Sunday.

D’Leon is internationally known for his salsa music. His most famous song is “Lloraras,” or “You Will Cry,” which he recorded in 1975 with his group La Dimension Latina.

He won a Latin Grammy for best contemporary tropical album with “Fuzionando” in 2007.
