Suffolk police arrested a 30-year-old Saint James man early Monday morning for allegedly burglarizing a pharmacy in his hometown.

James Nicosia Jr. cut a hole in the roof of the Spages Pharmacy on Lake Avenue and stole prescription medications at 4:50 a.m., police said. Nicosia left the pharmacy by smashing the front door, but was caught by a 4th Precinct officer who was responding to the burglary alarm.

Fourth Squad detectives charged Nicosia with burglary. He will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday.

I know this kid or now I should say man. When I use to hang out with him we were in high school and using drugs then. It saddens me that he went to that extent to get his drug but does not surprise me. Those types of drugs get a hold of you and make you do things you normally would not do. He is a good man to his defense just apparently has a serious problem. People can pray and hope but nothing will change till the person that has the problem is ready to change hopefully for his sake this is his wake up call. I believe everything happens for a reason so there was no mistake that he got caught. I will pray for you Jamie and hope you come out on top and realize thier is so much more to life then what you are doing…
