When we heard they were bringing in a female sidekick for Jack Bauer—a guy who can fight off a bioweapon infection, dismantle a nuclear bomb and perform surgery all before eating badass for breakfast—it automatically gave us visions of Jack becoming, well, a wimp. And falling for some 90 lb triple D-cup helpless bleached blonde Heidi Montag look-a-like who trips, or tips over, at the worst possible moments. But fear not.
Enter: Renee Walker.

It’s only been a few hours and this chick has already cut a man’s thumb off and stared down the barrel of a gun, begging to be shot execution-style.

Renee’s arrival is a hopeful sign for a series that each season pushes to top itself, but failed miserably on Day Six.
Day Seven brought a welcome comeback, but a big challenge for 24 always remains. After seven seasons, what was once groundbreaking can become a bit, well, everyday.
