Pizza Deliveryman Robbed at Gunpoint in Baldwin

A pizza deliveryman was robbed in Baldwin on Monday night, Nassau police said.

The victim was making a pizza delivery from Vincent’s Pizzaria on Atlantic Avenue to a Milburn Avenue home but when he knocked on the door at 6:20 p.m., the resident stated he did not order pizza.

The victim then called the cell phone number on the order ticket and was told that he was at the wrong location and to come next door.  The victim walked next door and was met by the man on the sidewalk, who then handed him a $100 bill, police said.  The victim gave the pizza to the man and went back to his car to make change, but when the victim returned, the man pulled out a silver and black semi-automatic handgun and then took the $100 bill back along with $75 in change.

The robber then fled the scene through a rear yard on Milburn Avenue. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as a black man, 18-21 years old, 5’4”-5’5” tall, wearing a black hooded sweat jacket with a black winter vest, and blue jeans.

First Squad detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.  All callers will remain anonymous.

Meanwhile, police are also looking for the three suspects who robbed a pizza delivery man at gunpoint on Birchwood Drive in North Valley Stream at 12:05 a.m. on Saturday. The robbers got away with $300 cash and a cell phone.

My freinds are saying the same thing about that area. I read on hirerald.com that they want to put a “5 story high building”, so called high end (soon to be section 8) “rental” building, on Grand ave & Merrick rd. Alot of people are upset about that, and are talking about moving. This is long Island NOT Queens, no where does a 5 story building fit in…
