Suffolk police are investigating a bank robbery in Bayport on Thursday afternoon. 
A man entered the a Hudson City Savings Bank branch on Montauk Highway, then gave a teller a note demanding cash and threatening violence if the teller did not comply at 1:20 p.m., police said. The teller complied and the robber fled with cash.
The suspect is described as white man in his late 30s to early 40s, 5’8” to 5’9” tall, with a medium build, dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a dark canvass jacket, a dark baseball hat, black sunglasses, blue jeans and black leather gloves.
