Selden Man Arrested for Farmingville Stabbing


A 28-year-old Selden man was arrested for stabbing another man during an fight in Farmingville on Thursday morning, Suffolk police said.

Raymundo Lopez-Marquez and Hector Cruz-Reyes, 25, of Medford, began fueding on Horseblock Road near North Ocean Avenue when Lopez-Marquez stabbed Cruz-Reyes in the abdomen and arm at 7:45 a.m., police said. Both men then ran to the parking lot of the nearby Super Stop and Shop where police were called.

Cruz-Reyes was taken to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue where he was listed in stable condition.

Sixth Squad detectives charged Lopez-Marquez with second-degree assault and he will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
