A 29-year-old Copiague man was arrested for drug possession following a traffic stop on the Southern State Parkway on Monday, New York State police said.
David Marmol was stopped at the exit for Wantagh Avenue while driving a Jeep westbound when Troopers smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle, police said.

A search revealed Marmol had approximately 30 grams of crack cocaine, 18 grams of powder cocaine, 12 grams of marijuana and a small quantity of Vicodin and Alprazolam pills, police said.
Marmol is on parole following a 2001 robbery conviction. He was arraigned at the First District Court in Hempstead on charges of criminal possession controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana.
