Back in the day, we quit ballet after finding out we had to wear our hair in a bun. We cried and cried and cried—not sure why that was so traumatizing, but at the time it was.
Now, every time we come across some form of tulle, we wonder if it is too late to be a ballerina. Well it might not be, at least if talk show queen Oprah Winfrey waves her diamond-encrusted wand at us.
Op’s people aka the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) will be in Bay Shore on Thursday and they’re looking for people who have a goal they’ve always wanted to accomplish but never achieved, whether that be forming a band, entering a triathlon or, if you had a bobby pin phobia too, becoming a ballerina.

If this sounds like you, bring yourself, a photo and your dreams to the Bay Shore YMCA at 200 W. Main St between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 11.
