The parents of Linday Lohan were at Nassau County Family Court in Westbury on Tuesday to discuss child support that Michael Lohan is accused of not paying.
Michael Lohan walked out of the courtroom praising Dina.
“This is the reason why I married Dina,” he said. “She’s sensible and we worked it out. Everything is going to be resolved. The differences between what she thought I owed and what I do owe will be worked out. She’s getting paid the money that I do owe.”

The two parties would not disclose the amount of money that Michael would have to pay to Dina. The Lohan’s have four children together, including Lindsay. Dina claims her ex-husband is late on child support for their two minor children, Ali and Cody.
Michael said there was no animosity between the two and the divorced couple were laughing and reminiscing in the hallway after the hearing, but Dina wasn’t as enthusiastic about the situation as Michael was.
“It saddens me just to have to be here, I feel that any parent with children should support them without having to go to court to fight for money,” said Dina outside the courthouse.
Dina said her ex-husband has a duty and obligation to pay the child support, and that Michael agreed. However, she did say, “We’ve heard that before, hopefully he’ll be true to his word. “
When asked how their celebrity daughter, Lindsay Lohan, was handling the situation Michael said it’s not about Lindsay but it’s about the two parents.
Dina felt different about the situation. “The one thing we did discuss, the selling the tapes of myself and my children is horrific,” she said. ”And he swore he would never do anything like that again. But the damage is done unfortunately, so we’ve been hurt a lot by him,” she said, referring to recorded telephone conversations of Lindsay, Dina, and Michael.
Michael Lohan’s attorney John DiMascio Jr. said the two parties, “demonstrated an ability and a desire to work this out together.”
Another hearing is scheduled for March 24. Dina acknowledged that court is not where she wants to be and is hoping that Michael pays the money that is owed to her.
“He just needs to do the right thing. Nobody wants a war. I don’t want to be here more than anyone in this building. It’s a very sad place,” she said.
