Pedestrian Struck in Elmont Hit-and-Run


 Nassau police are looking for the driver who seriously injured a woman in a hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning in Elmont. 

The 32-year-old victim was crossing Linden Boulevard at 239th street shortly before 4 a.m. when she was struck by a car whose driver did not stop, police said. She was brought to North Shore University Hospital and suffered a brain hemorrhage and facial and spine fractures.

The car involved did not stop and is described as an older green Toyota Camry with a partial New York registration of “ECH.”
