A 16-year-old boy was fatally struck by a Long Island Rail Road train at the Lynbrook train station on Tuesday evening, MTA police said. 
The Lynbrook teen was struck at 5:41 p.m. by a non-passenger train and was taken to South Nassau Communities Hospital where he was pronounced dead, an LIRR spokesman said.
MTA police are investigating the death as a possible suicide. The victim’s name was not immediately released.

The investigation resulted in multiple delays and two canceled trains during the evening rush hour.
